BTI360 Named Best Place to Work 2018 in Washington DC

Known for our affinity with the color of traffic cones, we, at BTI360, have again been named a best place to work 2018 in Washington DC through The Washington Business Journal. More specifically, we were voted as a best place to work in the federal government contracting space!

This is the sixth consecutive year and seventh time overall that we have been named as a best place to work 2018 in Washington DC. We, at BTI360 believe that having a strong company culture is key to maintaining a highly engaged workforce. Simply put, we believe that if you invest in great people, great things will happen. This is why we focus on building an environment that is centered around the following three areas:

  1. An Engineering Culture
  2. Work Life Balance
  3. Servant Leadership

An Engineering Culture

As an engineering culture, we’re committed to doing the right thing which means delivering software that’s thoroughly tested, easy to understand, and maintainable.  In fact, we are so passionate about being software engineers that we even wrote a blog about it – Difference between programmers and software engineers.

At our core, we are a team of software engineers who like to build stuff, solve difficult problems, and try to master…well, anything! We also take great pride in our work. Therefore, we commit ourselves to software craftsmanship and building long-lasting solutions that our customers love and that we can be proud of.

At BTI360, we foster an environment where our teammates can grow each day. We believe in growing and developing our team by investing in their technical curiosity. Not only do we encourage our teammates to earn certifications and attend technical conferences, but we also offer opportunities for coaching and in-house training.

Work Life Balance

While we have a strong engineering culture at BTI360, we also believe it’s important to take plenty of downtime to relax and recharge, which allows our team to maintain a good work-life balance. Additionally, we offer a generous benefits package so that our teammates feel well taken care of.

At BTI360, we are more than just a company, we are a community who enjoys doing life together. We regularly host fun company events which include an annual Charity poker event, Christmas Party, Company Picnic, Game nights, Hiking/Camping trips, Paintball, and more! Servant Leadership

For us, investing in our people is so much more than technical training and leadership development. It means using our resources for the benefit of our teammates and their families both inside and outside of work. A servant leader is one who leads with humility and makes a greater impact through serving our team, our clients and our community. This is why we’ve made servant leadership an integral part of our company culture.

We firmly believe that giving back to others helps develop better engineers and better engineering teams. Furthermore, it’s the right thing to do. Check out some of the 3rd world excursions and other service projects we, as a team, have contributed to.

Like What You Hear, Work Here!

If all this sounds interesting to you, drop us a line. We’re always looking for like-minded engineers to join the BTI360 team.

Other Awards

The Washington Business Journal’s Best Place to Work in the D.C. area list is determined by scoring the highest among hundreds of employers that participated in Omaha, Nebraska-based Quantum Workplace’s annual employee engagement survey.
