On May 20, the Washington Business Journal revealed their 2021 Best Places to Work rankings. BTI360 was pleased to again make the list, ranking in the top ten in the large company category (50-249 people).
Hundreds of employers compete for the honor, which is awarded quantitatively based on employee survey responses. This year marks the 10th time BTI360 has been recognized as a Best Place to Work.
Since our founding 17 years ago, BTI360 has worked to prioritize the growth and wellbeing of our teammates as we’ve built our business. Last year those efforts took a very different shape as we reacted to the unusual events of 2020. We found new ways to collaborate, care for each other, maintain strong teams, and continue to deliver high-quality software to our customers.
Relationships are central to BTI360’s culture. In a normal year our company calendar is full of happy hours, team lunches, craft nights, parties, and other events where we can enjoy time together. Since we couldn’t gather for those events in 2020, we pioneered new virtual alternatives. Trivia nights, game nights, online happy hours, cooking classes, and many other virtual events kept us connected while our team was scattered.
We also innovated in the types of benefits we offered our team. We added a completely free telemedicine benefit as well as additional emergency COVID leave to supplement the coverage provided by the American Rescue Plan and the CARES Act.
Reflecting on the honor, CEO MJ Wivell said:
“These awards mean even more after a year when there were so many ways to mess up. I’m sure we didn’t get everything right in 2020, but we were transparent with our team, sought regular feedback, and were willing to make changes when we realized we could do better.”
Thanks to the flexibility and ingenuity of our team, we were able to rapidly adapt to the challenges of COVID to maintain the viability of our business and the health of our team.
